The Way Of The Dog ("inu-no-michi" in Japanese) uses a business model based on a typical
martial arts studio in America. These schools use colored belts to denote different levels of
achievement. This system is ideal for dog training, also. The student is rewarded for each
step of his or her progress with colored pins denoting the levels of training successfully
completed. The pins are also goals to strive for in the short term, while achieving the student's
long-term goals.
